Michelle Obama to Present Big Help Award to Taylor Swift at 2012 KCAs
First Lady Michelle Obama is confirmed to make an appearance at the 25th
Annual Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards this coming weekend. She's on
hand to present Big Help Award to Taylor Swift in recognition of the country/pop singer's extensive philanthropic endeavors.
Swift has done many charitable works in the past years. She supports
Make-A-Wish Foundation, St. Jude Medical Center, Habitat for Humanity,
The Red Cross and The Salvation Army among other good causes. At the
rehearsal of her "Speak Now" tour last year, she raised funds for tornado victims.
"Taylor's dedication to helping others has encouraged her fan base to do
the same, and this is the very core of what The Big Help is, inspiring
others through action," said Marva Smalls, Executive Vice President,
Public Affairs and Chief of Staff, Nickelodeon Group.
The Big Help Award was first presented in 2009 to Leonardo DiCaprio. Michelle Obama was a recipient for 2010, being followed by Justin Timberlake in 2011.
2012 KCAs itself will be hosted by Will Smith and air live from USC's Galen Center in Los Angeles on March 31. Katy Perry leads the overall nominations by grabbing three nods. She is vying for Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Song, and Favorite Voice From an Animated Movie.
In the Favorite Female Artist, Katy is facing off Swift, Lady GaGa and Selena Gomez.
In the Favorite song, she's once again competing against the "Mean"
crooner and the "Born This Way" hitmaker, in addition to battling LMFAO.

attorneys filed legal documents that demand his estranged wife to give
him access to any accounting books and records of any transactions
during their 72-day marriage. He also accuses her of "breaching
fiduciary duty".
"A husband and wife are subject to the general rules governing fiduciary relationships which control the actions of persons occupying confidential relations to each other," Kris' lawyers highlight in the filed papers. "This confidential relationship imposes a duty of the highest good faith and fair dealing on each spouse, and neither will take unfair advantage of each other."
Kris also appears to have an issue with Kim keeping the wedding gifts, and donating double the value to charity. His lawyers wrote in the docs, "A spouse may not make a gift of community personal property, or dispose of community personal property for less than fair and reasonable value, without the written consent of the other spouse."
Kim, who married Kris in a lavish ceremony on August 20, 2011, filed for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court on October 31 the same year. "Maybe I rushed in to something too soon," she wrote on her blog the day after. "I believed in love and the dream of what I wanted so badly. 'The Avengers' Set to Close 11th Tribeca Film Festival
The Tribeca Film Festival this year will end on a high note. Announced

"Well, I got the opportunity from my manager and I said no at first," said the 36-year-old when explaining why she agreed to pose in only nude panties. "Then I thought about it for awhile and I realized, you know we are destitute right now. If I wasn't in the situation I'm in I wouldn't even fathom doing something like that. It's not conducive to my morals and values, but the way I rationalized was it is the truth."
"You know, this is a woman's magazine," she further reasoned. "It's not a men's magazine, which I perceive to be exploitative and over sexualized. This is more of a celebration of a woman's body - particularly after having one child, let alone 14. I think all women should have the confidence and inner strength to be okay with themselves and to express themselves and love themselves and be confident." She added, "And of course, I needed the money. That's the primary reason. That's mainly it."
Suleman further stressed that she didn't do nude photos. "I said no to nude, it wasn't nude, it was topless and it was me covering my private areas," she insisted. "I have underwear on the whole time. It's really when you think about it, I am showing no more than when I did the bikini photo shoot, which I also haven't seen [laughs]. So I don't feel it's inappropriate."
The mother of 14 continued, "I am absolutely not ashamed whatsoever. I was kind of proud that nothing had to be airbrushed. I was hiding my tattoos in the underwear and a little make-up on the tattoos and that's it. I was proud of that." In a separate interview, Bieber talked about what makes him a good boyfriend. The "Baby" hitmaker, who was nominated for two Grammy Awards this year, gushed to Radio Disney, "I'm loving and patient and kind and gentle."
He continued to point out, "It's just about being honest with one another. You just have to be honest, that's the first thing, because if you're not honest then the relationship is just not a good relationship. Sri Lankan actress Jacqueline Fernandez, who is just three films old in Bollywood, regrets not doing “Krrish 3″ and clarifies that director Sajid Khan does not influence her decisions.
“‘Krrish 3′… I think more of my bad luck. It was unfortunate clash of
dates. I felt a major burden on lot of people, so I had to make the
decision. Both parties tried hard to make it work, but it didn’t work.
It’s my bad luck I couldn’t do ‘Krrish 3′,” Jacqueline, who debuted in
Bollywood with 2009 release “Aladin”, told IANS.
Another offer that she turned down was for Mahesh Bhatt’s “Raaz 3″ because she didn’t want to be typecast.
“Unfortunately you tend to get stereotype in the industry and that
was the major concern for me. When ‘Murder 2′ released, there were lot
of offers coming my way,” she said.
“When we got into the later stage of finalisation of ‘Raaz 3′, I just
was not comfortable. I felt I have done it in ‘Murder 2′, so it’s time
to move on. ‘Housefull 2′ was a major relief. It’s a different genre. It
sees me as a lot more Indianised,” added the 26-year-old.
Countering speculation that her “Housefull 2″ director Sajid Khan is
mentoring her, Jacqueline said: “There has always been a reason for my
action. I am not from this industry.
“I have made my movies and career choices completely on my own. When
it comes to these things, I don’t take advice. I don’t have mentors.
Sajid Khan is not my mentor. People are very quick to take the credit,
but are not quick to take the blame.”

After taking a break from acting to work on her directorial debut "In the Land of Blood and Honey", Angelina Jolie is ready to perform in front of the camera again in "Maleficent".
Though the movie is about the villainous queen in the classic Sleeping
Beauty tale, Jolie insisted that the upcoming retelling film is not an
"anti-princess."
Discussing the forthcoming Walt Disney Pictures movie with Entertainment Weekly, Jolie said, "The next thing I'm doing is 'Maleficent' for Disney. I start it in June, and it's a really great script." She added, "I'm having a lot of fun. I've already got my horns fitted. My kids are very happy."
Asked if Maleficent will be a protagonist instead of a villainess, the longtime partner of Brad Pitt said, "It's not anti-princess, but it's the first time they're looking at this epic woman." The actress explained, "I hope in the end you see a woman who is capable of being many things, and just because she protects herself and is aggressive, it doesn't mean she can't have other [warmer] qualities. You have to figure out the puzzle of what she is."
The "Salt" actress elaborated further on the supposedly antagonist character as saying, "It sounds really crazy to say that there will be something that's good for young girls in this, because it sounds like you're saying they should be a villain." She continued, "[Maleficent] is actually a good person. But she's not perfect. She's far from perfect."
As for how she will look like in her portrayal as the sorceress, Jolie said, "We're still figuring out the look. We're experimenting with different things." Still, she guaranteed that she will wear the character's iconic horn as appeared in the original 1959 animated film. Constant media scrutiny has compelled Bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra to stop reading newspapers. She says it’s a way to protect herself as she likes being in her own bubble.
“Every time there is something I know that is going to irritate me, I
try and block it out. So I don’t read the newspaper or see the news,”
said Priyanka after winning the title of Big CBS Love’s “India’s Glam
Diva”.
“I like to stay in my own bubble. It’s my way to protect myself,
because I happen to be in the newspaper more often than not,” she added.
As of now, Priyanka is on a roll after two back-to-back hits – “Don 2: The King is Back” and “Agneepath”.
She has wrapped up shooting for Kunal Kohli’s tentatively titled
“Teri Meri Kahaani” opposite Shahid Kapoor, and is currently working on

is very important to be on the top but at the same time, feels it is
difficult to say who is No.1 or No.2.
“It is very important to be No 1. Since school days one wants to be
No 1. In this competitive world, you have to be No 1 – whether in school
or anywhere else. That doesn’t mean you stamp on people’s faces,” said
Priyanka, the brand ambassador of Nikon, during the unveiling of a new
camera range.
“But it is impossible to decide who is No.1 or No.2. Nobody can
decide who is No 1. An actress tends to do three to four films a year
and all that films cannot be a hit. We make so many films in a year,”

Asked who according to her is very photogenic, the 29-year-old said:
“You have to be photogenic if you want to be an actress. I am
photogenic. Rekhaji is very photogenic. Dharmendarji with the kind of

Vidya Balan’s ‘Kahaani’ enters third week, still going strong
Vidya Balan’s “Kahaani” seems to have a struck a chord with the
audiences in a big way as the gripping thriller has entered its third
week and is still proving to be a crowd puller. The film not only defies
the new box office mantra of “focus on first three days’ box office
collection”, but also proves that the actress has a long way to go.
The film earned Rs.43.05 crore since its release March 9.
Director Sujoy Ghosh made it at a budget of Rs.8 crore and the
collections show that it’s a bumper hit of the first quarter of the
year. The second week breakup goes like Rs.2.5 crore Friday, Rs.4.7
crore Saturday, Rs.4.9 crore Sunday, Rs.2 crore Monday, Rs.1.75 crore
Tuesday, Rs.1.6 crore Wednesday and Rs.1.5 crore Thursday.
“Generally, most films register a 50 percent to 70 percent decline in
the second week, since the screen count is fair/massive these days, but
the decline in this case was around 25 percent, which is simply
remarkable,” tweeted trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
“Kahaani” has also proved wrong those who said that Vidya Balan’s
“The Dirty Picture” triumphed because it was full of skin show. Despite
no skin show and no glamour, “Kahaani” has rocked the box office, thanks
to Vidya’s powerful performance, the storyline and Ghosh’s deft
treatment to the script.
In the film, set in the backdrop of Kolkata, Vidya plays a software
programmer, who comes to the city from London in search of her husband,
who is the father of her unborn child. The thriller also features
Bengali actor Parambrata Chatterjee and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in prominent
roles.
The film was promoted extensively, but it is word of mouth that has
played a vital role in making the film a money-spinner at the box office
in the second week, says Anant Verma, business head and director, DT
Cinemas.
“Apart from good content, word of mouth publicity has lead to the film doing wonders at the box-office,” Verma told IANS.
“Moreover, there has been a lot of hype around Vidya Balan as she
swept away all the awards for her portrayal in ‘The Dirty Picture’.
There is still a lot of curiosity among people,” he added.
Delhi-based distributor Joginder Mahajan also admits that the business for “Kahaani” has been much more than expected.
“The success of ‘Kahaani’ reinforces the fact that content is the
king. The film has done an exceptional business. After ‘The Dirty
Picture’, a certain kind of image was created in the minds of people
about Vidya, but she instantly broke the mould with ‘Kahaani’. Her
acting is being really appreciated in the film,” said Mahajan.
Despite the release of “Agent Vinod”, Verma is expecting occupancy of over 85 percent in the third week too.
“The film ran with packed theatres in the second week and now as the
exams are over, more people will come to watch the film. We are
expecting occupancy of over 85 percent in the coming week,” he added.
The actress has proved that the success of “The Dirty Picture” was no
flash in the pan and that she can carry any role with aplomb. “Paa”,
“Ishqiya”, “No One Killed Jessica”, “The Dirty Picture” and now

day after telling the press that she won't file a complaint against the
woman who dumped a bag of white flour on her head, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star confessed that she's now considering to press charges.
The estranged wife of Kris Humphries discussed the issue when talking to Giuliana Rancic and Ken Baker of E! News. "I said earlier no I wasn't," she admitted. "I am just going to think about it, because I don't want someone to think they can really get away with that. So we are going to handle that."
"Now that I think about it and had some time to digest it," she continued on, "I think, 'What if that was some other substance? What if that person had a dangerous weapon?' It's scary. And what's even scarier is this woman acted as if she was a part of the press. She just came out of nowhere! And so we are definitely changing things up a little bit, amping up security, taking some measures, and...I'm gonna definitely deal with it because it is not acceptable."
Speaking of her initial reaction, the 31-year-old said, "I was laughing it off earlier and, you know, I think that is the only thing I knew how to do at the time." She went on to point out, "But I just think it is such a shame that someone like that...would ruin an event, or attempt to ruin an event, that was based around, not only my fragrance, but this organization, Dress For Success."
"I mean that's what the event was about," she stressed. The network has announced that it will premiere "Glee: Don't Stop

"In light of the theatrical performance of 'John Carter' ($184 million global box office), we expect the film to generate an operating loss of approximately $200 million during our second fiscal quarter ending March 31," so the studio stated. "As a result, our current expectation is that the Studio segment will have an operating loss between $80 and $120 million for the second quarter."
Weighing in on the issue, president of the box-office division of Hollywood.com, Paul Dergarabedian, said that "John Carter" is likely to be placed in the Hollywood's all-time biggest money-losers. "Unfortunately for 'John Carter', the story became all about this massive budget," he said, as quoted by Los Angeles Times. "The movie will take one of the biggest losses in recent memory."
Another expert, Harold Vogel, who is the president of Vogel Capital Management said, "This is a little unpleasant episode or scratch." He added, "Disney is so much larger than all of this, they can easily absorb the loss and go on and have many, many good years in the future. It's the equivalent of a ding on the side of your car. You wish it didn't happen. But at the end of the day, the car drives fine."

The final installment of the "Twilight Saga" film series will take place after the birth of Bella and Edward's daughter Renesmee. The vampire couple must now face a perilous chain of events that pits the Cullens and their allies against the Volturi, which is the fearsome council of vampire leaders.
Due to open in the U.S. cinemas on November 16, "Breaking Dawn II" is helmed by Oscar winner Bill Condon. Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are all reprising their roles as Bella, Edward and Jacob respectively. Additionally, Mackenzie Foy will make her debut as Bella and Edward's daughter Renesmee.

I don’t have body for item number – Sonam Kapoor
She is slim, tall and pretty, but Sonam Kapoor feels she can’t do justice to a saucy and pacy item number.
“I don’t have a body to do an item number. I am slim, trim and
healthy but I don’t have the grace and style and all that requires a
little time to develop. I am a little young right now,” Sonam said at an
event here.
The fashionista’s dancing ability were seen in “Saawariya”, “Delhi-6″
and “Aisha”. But she doesn’t have any hit dance number to her credit so
far.
However, she loves Bollywood’s “Munni” Malaika Arora Khan among the string of actresses who have grooved to item songs in recent times.
“Malaika Arora. She is the Helen of our generation. If anybody can do
an item number, then it is Malaika. She is superb. Nobody can beat her.
She is fantastic,” said Sonam.
The actress is currently busy shooting for Rakyesh Om Prakash Mehra’s
“Bhaag Milkha Bhaag”, in which she will share screen space with Farhan
Akhtar.
