Justin Bieber on Bloodied Photo Spread: You Should've Seen the Other Guy

Justin Bieber is ditching his squeaky clean persona in celebration of Complex magazine's 10th anniversary. Showing off his tough guy side in a photo shoot with fashion photographer Tony Kelly, the boyfriend of Selena Gomez gets into the boxing ring only to get punched and bloodied by two shirtless boxers.

Some of the photos capture Bieber, who wears a white shirt, black bowtie and black pants, getting a hard punch in the jaw. In another, he is seen ripping open his bloodied shirt while being held back by a bikini-clad ring girl. There is also a shot of the 18 year-old in a black tuxedo jacket as he goes a few rounds with a speed ball.

Bieber is also featured in two covers for the April issue. One displays him sprawling out on the floor with a bloodied nose, while another has him holding a steak to his swollen face. While he is shown drenched in blood in the pictures, the "Baby" hitmaker jokes on Twitter, "@ComplexMag u should of (sic) seen the other guy."

In the accompanying interview, Bieber discussed about his relationship with Gomez. "There's no way to hide the relationship completely, because then it would be unfair to us," he said. "It's like, 'You take this car, and I'll take this car, and then we'll meet up at the spot. Then, you go in this door, I'll go in this door. We'll end up crossing ways. You get back in this car.' At that point, it's not even a relationship."

As for his music, the "Boyfriend" singer said, "I feel like it's my responsibility to be the greatest I can be." He elaborated, "If I start making terrible music, I don't expect people to like me. If I'm making great music and there's no reason for people to dislike me, that's when it's going to make me upset. People just need to take a chance and listen. If they don't want to take a chance, then I don't know. That's going to be the biggest problem, to make them feel like it's cool for them to like my music."

Kris Jenner Shares Topless Pregnancy Photo on Rob Kardashian's 25th Birthday

 Kris Jenner took a stroll down memory lane in honor of her son's 25th birthday. On Saturday, March 17, the Kardashians matriarch wished Rob Kardashian a happy birthday by sharing a topless photo of her that was taken during her pregnancy with the "Dancing with the Stars" contestant.

In the picture, the wife of Bruce Jenner was 31 years old and showed off her large baby bump while wearing only a pair of white underwear. Along with the image, she wrote, "Happy 25th birthday to my wonderful, handsome son, Rob!! Rob, you are the best son a mother could ask for and you make me proud every day. I love you so much!!"

Aside from unveiling the topless photo, Kris also helped her son celebrate his birthday in Las Vegas. She first joined Rob and her daughters, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, for a dinner at Stack Restaurant & Bar in the Mirage on Friday, March 16 night, E! News reported.

After Kendall and Kylie went back to their hotel suite, Kris, Rob and Kim continued the celebration with a party at the Las Vegas hotel's 1 OAK Nightclub. It was said that the trio were seen and joined by Floyd Mayweather, Jr. at the club. Allegedly, Rob was also presented with a colorful tiered cake created by chef Jean Philippe.

Also wishing Rob a happy birthday on St. Patrick's Day was older sister Khloe Kardashian. "Happy Birthday to the best brother in the world! I CANNOT believe you are 25!!!" she wrote on her blog. "Truly I can't! God blessed me with an amazing brother. Our bond is unbreakable, even though I want to strangle you sometimes, I still adore you!"

"This past year I have seen you grow so much and I'm so proud to be your sister! You will always be my little brother," the wife of Lamar Odom continued on. "You are stuck with me for life kid!! I love you water bug!!!" Her older sister, Kourtney Kardashian, also gave Rob a birthday shout out, writing on Twitter, "Happy Birthday to my favorite brother @RobKardashian!!"

First Look at Daniel Radcliffe as Gay Poet Allen Ginsberg on 'Kill Your Darlings' Set

 How Daniel Radcliffe will look like as fabled Beat Generation poet, Allen Ginsberg, in "Kill Your Darlings" has been unveiled in some fresh on-set pictures of the upcoming thriller. While shooting in New York on Monday, March 19, Radcliffe was snapped sporting a nerdy look complete with curly hair and big framed spectacles.

In the true story movie, the "Harry Potter" tackles the key role of Ginsberg, who is also a gay activist. The pic itself is based on an event in 1944 about the murder case that help spawn the Beat Generation movement in 1950s.

It follows Ginsberg's relationship with Lucien Carr and Jack Kerouac. Carr is the one who introduces Ginsberg to Kerouac and fellow Beat poet William S. Burroughs. He is also the one who stabbed his lover David Kammerer to death in a drunken fight in 1944.

Tackling the role of Carr is Dane Dehaan, while Jack Huston and Ben Foster play Kerouac and Burroughs respectively. Also supporting the movie is Elizabeth Olsen as Eddie Parker, a rich girlfriend to Kerouac.

Writing the screenplay is Austin Bunn along with John Krokidas, who is also set to make his directorial debut with this thriller. The movie itself was first announced in 2009. Before Radcliffe, Huston and Dehaan are attached, Jesse Eisenberg, Chris Evans and Ben Whishaw were originally tapped to star as Ginsberg, Kerouac and Carr respectively, but they exited the project.

We want good scripts, chants Bollywood

 After biggies misfired at the box office and economical movies hit the bull’s eye, Bollywood has woken up to the importance of a well-written script. Suddenly everyone is asking for original screenplays.

Those expressing this need include Abhishek Bachchan who wants to explore plays written by youngsters in the interiors of India as well as Subhash Ghai who says lack of scripts forced him to take a sabbatical “from directing movies”.

The drought of original ideas is obvious from the remakes and sequels that hit the screen. This year the box office has already seen four remakes in two months – “Players”, “Agneepath”, “Ek Main Aur Ek Tu” and “Ek Deewana Tha”.

Ghai said: “When we are remaking, it means there is a dearth of ideas. It is not the right situation; our children should come up with new ideas.”

“Dhobi Ghat”, “Peepli Live”, “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara”, “Dabangg” and “Chak De! India” were among the movies that boasted of a sound script, but such stories are few and far between.

A script is the soul of a film, says Onir, who won accolades for strong narratives in “My Brother Nikhil” and “I AM”.

“I prefer seeing original films. At times remakes also have not worked. We tend to forget that the script is the backbone of a film. But many producers are not willing to put in money, unless you have huge stars in it,” Onir told IANS.

He added: “The story, which is the essence, has not been emphasised and I have personally experienced it. I think slowly things are changing.”

In the thriving Hindi film industry, which churns out more than 100 films in a year, the script gets a stepmotherly treatment. Everything revolves around stars.

“Story has to be the king, but script has to be the leader. One should know that you need a solid script first and it should be the backbone of the films,” Anjum Rajabali, who scripted the hit political thriller “Raajneeti”, told IANS.

The filmmakers and actors may have come out of slumber, but independent writers are still running from pillar to post to convince stars and producers to support their projects.

Scriptwriters also do not get their due when it comes to payment.

Actor-producer Anil Kapoor said: “I agree, they deserve much more. Slowly and steadily the actors and directors are understanding and giving them their due. But they deserve much more.”

Ghai, who has stopped directing due to the dearth of good scripts, urges everyone to give credit to filmdom’s unsung heroes – the writers.

“While promoting a film, please mention writers’ names. The solution is to encourage the new breed of writers and make them understand how to become writers, why to become writers. They are scared because they don’t get money and recognition,” he told IANS.

What about those directors who prefer to write their own scripts? Aren’t they a threat to writers who are already fighting for their space?

“Not necessarily. Sometimes it is also a question of economics. For instance, an independent scriptwriter like me who does not have money to hire a scriptwriter prefers to write his own script,” Onir said.

Rajabali feels things are changing for the better.

“Now the industry is waking up. Change is coming. It will take time. There is some comfort zone that the film industry has. Now gradually that comfort is saying even if I have Akshay Kumar or Aamir Khan, one still needs a good script,” he added.

'Dark Knight Rises' Screens First Rough Cut as 'Avengers' Sets April Premiere Date

Director Christopher Nolan has almost completed "The Dark Knight Rises". While moviegoers will have to wait until July 20 to watch the highly anticipated DC Comics film, Warner Bros.' executives have had the opportunity to see Nolan's first cut of the last installment of his Batman trilogy.

Multiple insiders revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that on Friday, March 16, Nolan has presented a rough cut of the much awaited Caped Crusader pic to Warners' toppers. Those who attended the screening included chief Jeff Robinov and production president Greg Silverman.

Since the Christian Bale-starring superhero flick will not open until summer, Nolan still has enough time to fine-tune the movie. Sources told THR that the British filmmaker has been busy on the Warners lot in the past few days after finishing months-long shooting and editing process.

Also starring Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Gary Oldman, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, "The Dark Knight Rises" is set 8 years after the events in "The Dark Knight". Terrorist leader Bane arrives in Gotham City, pushing it and its police force to their limits, and forcing Batman to resurface after taking the fall for Havey Dent's crimes.

While "Dark Knight Rises" rough cut has just been introduced to Warners' executive, rival mega-budgeted superhero film "The Avengers" has set the date for its world premiere. Also on Friday, Marvel Studios announced that the Earth Mightiest Heroes film is set to hold its special screening on Wednesday, April 11.

The world premiere is scheduled to take place at Hollywood's El Capitan Theatre. The all-star cast members, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Stellan Skarsgard and Cobie Smulders, are all expected to hit the red carpet before a 7.00 A.M. screening.

"The Avengers" itself will open wide in the U.S. theaters on May 4. In the upcoming film, Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye and the Hulk must team up to fight the greatest foe no single hero could ever withstand.

Video: Taylor Swift Performs New 'Hunger Games' Song 'Eyes Open'

 Taylor Swift gave her fans in Auckland, New Zealand a special treat. When hitting Vector Arena as part of her world tour recently, the country music crooner played "Eyes Open", a brand new theme song from highly-anticipated movie "The Hunger Games".

Wearing a shimmering dress and sitting comfortably on a couch with a guitar in her hand, Taylor teasingly asked the crowd, "You don't think I'd get in trouble if I played it now?" She added, "Probably not, right? I don't know, what do you think?" before launching into the song.

"Eyes Open" is taken from a compilation of "songs from District 12 and beyond." The soundtrack album is going to arrive in the United States on March 20, while "The Hunger Games" itself will be released nationwide three days later.

Aside from "Eyes Open", Taylor also sings "Safe & Sound" for the movie. Collaborating with The Civil Wars, she recalled the creative process of the song. "The Civil Wars had a show that night in L.A.," she told Rolling Stone. "So they raced right over to T Bone's house."

She furthermore gushed, "There's so many things he could've done production-wise to make that song bigger sonically than it is, but I think that would have possibly been a mistake. For him to have left the song as a lullaby is brilliant."

Report: Lindsay Lohan to Stay on Lockdown Until End of Probation

 With less than two weeks to go until her probation comes to an end, Lindsay Lohan is not taking any risks that will cost her her freedom. TMZ reported that the actress, who will play Elizabeth Taylor in Lifetime's original movie "Liz & Dick", vows to stay out of trouble by "putting herself on lockdown" until March 29.

The claim came out just days after LiLo was accused of hit and run outside a Los Angeles nightclub. According to the gossip site, the incident led her friends to advise her to stop going out at night until she is in the clear from her probation, and the 25-year-old allegedly agreed to only leave her home when she really has to.

LiLo was said to have struck a man with her new Porsche and fled the scene when leaving Sayers Club in Hollywood early Wednesday, March 14 morning. The "Machete" actress, however, was adamant she was innocence. "Scrape? This is all a complete lie," she wrote on her WhoSay page. "I've been at community service."

"Last night, I attempted to wish a friend happy birthday, which I didn't even get to do because I was freaked out by all of the paparazzi," the starlet continued on. Her representative Steve Honig shared similar opinion as stating, "At no point was there ever any indication that her car hit anyone or anything. We are confident this matter will be cleared up in the next few days."

Will Saif’s item number overshadow Kareena’s ‘mujra’

 They may be a couple in real life, but on screen Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are about to clash over item numbers in the film “Agent Vinod”. Who does it better?

Many are asking if Kareena’s mujra song, “Dil mera muft ka”, will be overshadowed by Saif’s “Pyaar ki pungi”. The latter is described as a number that catches your attention in the first 20 seconds because of its comic, cheeky notes and free footsteps.

When asked about the song, Saif told IANS: “There is a sequence in the film where Agent Vinod is being watched by CCTV cameras…and he is behaving in a certain way, so we thought we should do an extension to that and we did the song.”

Composed by Pritam Chakraborty, “Pyaar ki pungi” has been written by lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya and choreographed by Jasmin Oza. Mika has sung it.

Since “Agent Vinod”, a sleek spy thriller, is full of actions and thrills, director Sriram Raghavan didn’t give much attention to the songs as it can shift people’s interest and the essence of the movie.

So “Pyaar ki pungi” has been especially created and used as a promotional number. The song plays in the background during one of the scenes in “Agent Vinod” with a punchline saying, “Catch the other side of (Majnu) Vinod.”

If you are wondering who taught such funny steps to Saif, it’s none other than Jasmin Oza, who worked with Saif on an ad for Amul innerwear. He wanted to make the dance moves the actor’s signature steps.

“It’s a song full of naughty steps, I call it Indian contemporary tapori steps. This song is full of groovy steps, full dhamaal song with a high energy. These are the fresh and unique steps which are never done by Saif. Overall steps and the choreography were taught to Saif, but at the same time he added his own steps,” Ojha told IANS.

“My job was to make him comfortable and to get him into that different kind of funny dancing style. When any actor does such steps, people start thinking about stars like Govinda. To make it exclusive and Saif’s own style, we put his steps while making the song,” he added.

“Pungi” is a word derived from the snakecharmer’s instrument – known as ‘been’ in Hindi and ‘pungi’ in Marathi.

Usually item numbers are associated with actresses and their ‘jhatkas’ and ‘matkas’. In fact there is a mujra number picturised on Kareena Kapoor and it was the first one to hit the screens. But “Pungi” has become more popular.

Lyricist Bhattacharya says the definition of item numbers is changing and added: “It’s difficult to explain the phrase. Usually any song that stands out in a movie or a song where a female protagonist performs in a different manner is called an item number. I feel a song that attracts viewers’ attention towards a movie and rises on the popularity chart is called an item number.”

Bhattacharya is the man behind the unconventional lyrics of “Emotional atyachar” in “Dev D”.

” ‘Emotional atyachar’ was a big hit and was an item number for the movie. It had such power that they ran a campaign over this song which really helped in the opening of the film.

“So, the song that catches the whole focus of the movie is an item number. There is not any compulsory rule that an item number should be performed only by a female protagonist.”

The “pungi” word has caught on with youth.

The song’s popularity has been bogged down by rumours of plagiarism, but Pritam said: “Melodically and lyrically it’s no way similar to the song (‘Soosan Khanoom’ by Iranian pop band Barobax) in question, and I’m not even bringing up the element of creative coincidence which is largely prevalent in the day and age we exist in.”

Katy Perry Goes to War in 'Part of Me' Video Teaser

 Katy Perry is going to ditch her sophisticated look in upcoming music video for her latest single "Part of Me". Channeling her inner tough soldier, she wears a full army gear and conceals her beautiful face with camouflaged paint in its official teaser.

The soon-to-be-released music video was filmed on a military base earlier this year. It's going to premiere in full on Wednesday, March 21 on MTV, and will be preceded by a 30-minute interview with Katy on MTV.com.

"Part of Me" is taken from "Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection", which is due in the United States on March 27. After the breakup single was showcased at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards, words ran rampant that it's an ode to her doomed relationship with Russell Brand.

Katy, however, denied it. "I wrote it two years ago, which is funny because everybody is like 'God, it sounds so current'," she said. "Some people that I work with were like, 'You should just say you wrote it a couple of weeks ago.' I'm like 'I'm not a [bleep], I'm going to tell the truth'."

"I wrote it two years ago when I was writing and recording 'Teenage Dream', [but] it didn't feel right on the record ... Sometimes I'm like, 'Am I living in 'The Truman Show?' Because I sit down and I write all these songs at once, all these emotions and feelings and thoughts, and then it just feels like sometimes I'm caught in this movie where my life is paralleling my music."

Rihanna's Latest Tattoo Is a Hide-Able Crucifix

 Rihanna adds to her collection of body art, a small cross on her collarbone area. The "Birthday Cake" singer went to her favorite tattoo artist, Bang Bang, in New York City on Thursday, March 15 to get inked. Bang Bang is opening his new tattoo parlor on the Lower East Side.

"We cut the color with water, so it'll end up being light -- like the 'rebelle' tattoo on her neck," Bang Bang told Us Weekly. Rihanna's decision to have it on her collarbone, according to the artist, is so that it could be in plain sight but could be hidden with a necklace as well.

"She loved it," Bang Bang continued. "She always flips out [when it's done] and jumps up and down like a 16-year-old girl getting her first car." Bang Bang has done 12 other inks for Rihanna including the "Shhh" tattoo on her finger.

It was only late January that Rihanna had a tattoo. She got the words "Thug Life" tattooed on her knuckles.

Heroine far from being hero in Bollywood – Kareena Kapoor

 Vidya Balan’s success story has given actresses the hope for a brighter tomorrow in the Indian film industry. But they have a long way to go, says Kareena Kapoor adding that she will fight for equal “pay cheques” in filmdom.

The 31-year-old shared her side of the story in a talk about “How Does a Heroine Become the Hero?” at the India Today Conclave 2012 here Friday.

“I was in Los Angeles sometime back when I got to know that ‘Salt’ was actually written for Tom Cruise. And Angelina Jolie was actually the second choice, it wasn’t Brad Pitt or anyone else. In India, there’s no such choice.

“It’s always between three or four Khans or other male actors. I guess female actors are there for just dancing with them. We have to stand behind Shah Rukh and Salman (Khan) and say, ‘Hey! I’m here too, give me something to do.’ And the paychecks… what Salman gets and what I get… let’s not even get there,” said Kareena.

She is said to be the highest earning female star in Bollywood, and reportedly demanded Rs.8 crore for Madhur Bhandarkar’s “Heroine”. But Kareena still doesn’t consider herself a hero among all heroines.

“I don’t think I’m a hero because all the films like ’3 Idiots’, ‘RA.One’ and ‘Bodyguard’ that made Rs.100 crore-Rs.150 crore, their producers and all the three Khans took home their money. What am I left with? ‘Chhammak challo’?

“I don’t get a pay cheque as much as them. I am not on the same platform as them. But I am going to fight for it, and hopefully one day we will get there. But I do believe that god has been kind. Somewhere my hard work has been recognised, and I am also glad that there’s been a stellar performance by Vidya Balan and she proved to be the hero of 2011 (with ‘The Dirty Picture’),” she added.

The year awaits a power-packed performance by Kareena in “Heroine” and she says: “I am giving it my very best.”

“And for a change it is fun not standing behind or beside Shah Rukh or Salman,” she quipped.

I should be Begum of Pataudi by 2012 end – Kareena Kapoor

 Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Friday said she hopes to settle down with beau Saif Ali Khan and become the ‘Begum of Pataudi’ by the “end of this year”.

“Hopefully, by the end of this year,” Kareena said at the India Today Conclave 2012 here, following a question about her D-day.

“I am working on ‘Heroine’ and I need to finish the film first. But we’re not going to announce the date yet. I don’t understand why the entire nation is in a hurry to make me the Begum of Pataudi. There’s no rush. Obviously people have to be patient,” she added.

The 31-year-old has been romantically with Saif, 10 years her senior, since 2007.

Saif was anointed the 10th Nawab of Pataudi in 2011, after his father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi’s death.
